Duty-free shelves in T2 list electronics alongside the liquor

In Terminal 2 at Hurghada, the Electronics Shop label usually just means a corner of the main duty-free zone, not a big standalone store. Electronics sit with fragrance, tobacco and spirits, all under the same duty-free operator. You’ll see the section after security in T2, past passport control and before most gates. Think small cases and accessories more than full-size gadgets.

Stock leans toward travel basics: headphones, chargers, power banks, USB cables and sometimes travel adapters for Egypt’s 220V sockets. Prices sit at typical duty-free levels, not crazy-cheap; plan on paying roughly European airport pricing in EUR or USD, with EGP often accepted but converted at their in-house rate. Don’t expect a full camera counter or big laptops; this is top-up gear, not a full electronics retailer.

Regulars flying through HRG treat electronics here as an impulse buy while grabbing whisky or perfume in the same T2 duty-free area. Selection shifts by season and shipment, so a cable you saw in March might be gone in June. No major complaints surface in forums, but no one reports flagship models either, so assume mid-range brands and occasional promos tied to specific flights.

Tip: pack your main chargers and adapters from home; use the Terminal 2 Electronics Shop only for last-minute replacements when you’re already inside the duty-free zone on departure.
