Gate-side in T2 South, this Power Lounge is pay-per-use
Down in Terminal 2’s South pier after security, Power Lounge South sits on the domestic side with direct views of HND’s runways and parked ANA jets. It’s an independent card lounge, so eligible credit cards or a paid walk-up fee get you in; airline status alone usually doesn’t cut it here. Signage in T2 points you to the “South” wing, so check you’re heading away from the North Power Lounge by the central security area.
Opening hours typically track the first and last T2 departures, with doors open from early morning around 6:00 until late evening around 20:00–21:00. This matters because some domestic ANA flights out of T2 start boarding 25–30 minutes before departure, so building at least a 60–75 minute pre-flight window gives you enough time to sit down, charge up, and still walk to the farthest gates in the South concourse.
Seats run in rows facing the windows plus bar-style counters, with individual power outlets and USB ports at most spots. That power focus is literal: regulars treat it as a charging station before long Shinkansen or hotel transfers. Wi‑Fi is free and fast enough for streaming, and you can usually find a quieter corner if you walk toward the back near the smaller two-seat tables.
Drinks are the main perk. Expect self-serve soft drinks, hot coffee, and tea included with entry, with some locations rotating between drip coffee and espresso-style machines. Alcohol, like draft beer or highballs, often comes at an extra fee per glass, with prices posted near the counter; budget a few hundred yen if you want something stronger before a late ANA flight to CTS or FUK.
Food is light. Think snack-level options rather than a full meal: small pastries or packaged items that won’t replace a proper lunch in T2’s main restaurant floor above security. Prices for any paid snacks sit in the same range as terminal kiosks, so don’t rely on this lounge if you board a 19:00 departure having skipped dinner.
Noise levels rise during evening bank departures around 18:00–20:00, when seats near the windows and outlets closest to the entrance fill first. If your flight leaves from a low-numbered South gate like 51 or 52, keep an eye on the 10–15 minute walk time; the lounge sits closer to mid-pier than to the far end.
Tip: eat in the main T2 restaurant area before security, then use Power Lounge South mainly for Wi‑Fi, coffee, and charging during the last 45–60 minutes before boarding.
