Gate-side snacks in T1
Right in Terminal 1’s departures area, Snack Kiosk covers the basics when you just need something fast before boarding. It sits airside after security, so you can grab food and still keep an eye on your gate board. Expect a compact counter setup rather than a full café, more of a last-minute top-up than a sit-down meal.
Options usually lean toward packaged chips, biscuits, chocolate bars and bottled drinks at airport-inflated prices, so assume you’ll pay more than in Vasco town or Panaji. Think single bottles of water or soft drinks instead of big multi-packs, and simple impulse buys you can carry onto the aircraft easily. This is the place you hit for a 500 ml water and a packet of crisps, not a full thali.
Hours typically track Terminal 1’s flight schedule, opening ahead of the morning departures bank and staying available until the last evening flights clear. If you’re catching a late-night domestic sector from T1, this may be your only quick food option once smaller stalls shut. Card payments usually work, but it’s smart to have a couple of ₹100 notes in case the POS terminal is down.
Plan on a short stop: two to three minutes is enough to pick up a drink and a snack and still board on time. Use it to stock up on water and something non-messy for the flight, then eat anything stronger-flavoured before you get on the aircraft so your row doesn’t smell like a spice shop at 35,000 feet.
