Two ATMs sit together at ATM Zone in T1

ATM Zone in Terminal 1 at Goa Dabolim is the main cash stop once you’re airside, useful if your hotel or taxi from GOI still prefers rupees over cards. It’s in T1, so domestic and most departing passengers can hit it after security instead of hunting around landside machines near the older check-in hall.

Expect standard Indian bank fees plus any charges from your home bank; withdrawals usually cap around ₹10,000–₹20,000 per transaction depending on the issuing bank. That’s enough to cover a prepaid taxi from the airport, a few days of local meals, and a beach shack tab along the coast from Vasco da Gama.

The machines typically dispense ₹500 notes, with occasional ₹200 notes mixed in, so plan for merchants who dislike big bills on smaller purchases under ₹200. ATMs at GOI can run low during late-night departure waves between 23:00 and 03:00, when multiple flights from T1 push passengers through the same corridor.

There’s no dedicated staff at ATM Zone, just standard bank contact numbers posted on the machines and whatever airport security is nearby. If a card gets swallowed, you’re dealing with the bank’s phone line plus airport lost and found at T1 the next day, not a quick fix before boarding.

Practical tip: Pull cash here before your final gate; some remote stands at GOI board by bus from T1, and you may not pass another working ATM before departure.
