Cashew Counter

Gate-side last-minute cashews in T1

Right in Terminal 1 after security, Cashew Counter is the quick grab for Goan cashews before you board. Stock changes, but you usually see plain, roasted, salted, and masala packs, plus some chocolate-coated options. Expect airport pricing: figure roughly 2–3x what you'd pay in town markets, but the packaging is flight-ready and sealed for customs.

Cashew Counter sits on the domestic side of T1, a short walk from most gates, so you can duck in even on a 30–40 minute buffer. It keeps typical terminal hours, opening for the morning bank of departures and staying open through late-evening flights. If you land and connect same-terminal, you don’t need to exit to reach it; it’s all post-security.

Best value tends to be the mid-sized pouches rather than gift tins; the fancy boxes look nice but the price per 100g jumps sharply. If they have mix-and-match deals (3 packs for a set rupee price), use those to try different spice levels instead of buying several large bags of one flavor. Check roast dates printed on the back; you want something from the last few months, not older stock.

Tip: buy here only if you skipped city shops in Panaji or Vasco; treat Cashew Counter as the backup plan, not your main cashew run.
