Shilla Duty Free

Gate-side in GMP International, Shilla Duty Free is your main K‑beauty stop

Just past immigration in Gimpo International, Shilla Duty Free anchors the main walk toward the gates with long cosmetics and liquor counters. Prices line up with Incheon’s duty free, so you’re not punished for flying out of GMP instead. You’ll see the usual suspects: Sulwhasoo, Laneige, Hera, plus global brands like Chanel and Dior, all in one stretch.

Most shops here open from early morning to late evening, roughly matching international departure banks, so you can shop before those 08:00–10:00 flights to Tokyo or Shanghai. Fragrance and skincare gift sets often run airport-only promos, especially around Korean holidays, and multi-pack sheet masks are cheaper here than downtown Myeongdong after VAT refunds.

Electronics and liquor sit in separate Shilla sections along the same concourse, with whisky and cognac often bundled in 1L twin-packs. Cartons of cigarettes stay behind the counter and follow the standard Korean duty-free limits, so have your passport and boarding pass ready. Expect lines to spike 30–40 minutes before departures to Japan when group tours come through.

Payment is easy: most counters take major credit cards, Alipay, WeChat Pay, and UnionPay, and staff frequently switch between Korean, Japanese, and basic English. If you’re short on time, head straight to your gate and use the smaller Shilla kiosks closer to individual boarding areas instead of the big central store.

Tip: Screenshot your usual downtown prices before the airport; Shilla will sometimes match or beat them with in-store promos, but only if you spot the difference quickly.
