International departures at Gimpo run straight past Lotte Duty Free
This is the main duty free option in Gimpo’s International terminal, sitting airside after security along the central concourse. You’ll hit cosmetics and liquor first, then cigarettes and snacks closer to the gates. Layout feels like a compact version of Lotte’s downtown Seoul stores, but with airport pricing and airport pacing.
Liquor usually prices a bit under central Seoul department stores, with common Korean soju brands and mid-range whisky in promo twin-packs. Cigarette cartons sit at the back wall with clear duty free limits posted for Japan and China routes. If you’re tight on time between a 19:00–21:00 wave of flights, this is still doable in 5–10 minutes if you know what you want.
Beauty counters skew Korean: think big-name K-beauty skincare, cushion compacts, and mask bundles, plus international brands in the central island cases. Look for multi-pack sheet mask deals and 2+1 gift sets that are often cheaper than buying in Myeongdong. Prices are all in KRW with tax-free handled automatically at checkout for outbound passengers.
Snacks mean boxed Korean treats: honey-butter almonds, seaweed packs, and assorted rice crackers in pre-wrapped gift boxes. You’ll also see ginseng products and candy near the front, with small sets under 10,000 KRW for last-minute office gifts. Credit cards and mobile payments like Samsung Pay and Apple Pay usually run fine here.
Staff start winding down closer to the last international departures around 22:00, and restocks hit ahead of morning flights from about 07:00. If you want specific skincare shades or a particular whisky label, walk through Lotte Duty Free before you sit down at your gate; stock-outs are most common right before evening peak departures.
