Short-Stay Parking

Terminal-front

Locals at FOR usually just use the T1 curb

At Pinto Martins International Airport (FOR), most pick-ups and drop-offs happen right at the Terminal 1 curb, often in stops of 5–15 minutes, so formal Short-Stay Parking doesn’t get much attention from locals. The official product is a terminal-front option, sitting directly in front of T1 with walking time to the check-in hall measured in a minute or two, not in shuttle rides.

Short-Stay Parking is physically the closest car park to the T1 departures and arrivals doors, beating the more distant long-stay and off-airport lots by several hundred meters. It’s set up for quick visits of under a couple of hours, like meeting a flight, helping with bags, or handling check-in for elderly relatives, rather than leaving a car all day or overnight.

Pricing isn’t clearly published online, and the “Daily” rate for Short-Stay Parking is effectively treated as not applicable, since the car park targets stays of under 1–2 hours rather than 24-hour parking blocks. If you plan to leave a car for more than a few hours, the airport’s regular long-stay areas usually price out better than this terminal-front option.

Short-Stay Parking sits inside the main airport road loop right in front of Terminal 1, so there’s no shuttle bus, and you keep your keys rather than using valet. Because most local drivers still stop at the T1 curb itself, finding a space in this lot is typically easier than circling the immediate drop-off zone several times at busy bank times.

Tip: If your pick-up or drop-off will run past 20–30 minutes because of baggage delays or check-in issues at T1, park in Short-Stay instead of waiting at the curb; you’ll avoid being moved along by security and still be only a short walk from the doors.
