Footlong subs in T2 when everything else is closed
In Zvartnots T2, Subway sits airside after security, handy when late flights out of EVN shrink your food options. It runs longer hours than most local spots in the terminal, so you can usually still get a sandwich after the evening bank of departures. Expect standard Subway branding and setup, not an Armenia-only offshoot.
Pricing runs cheaper than most sit-down spots in T2: a 15 cm sub lands around mid-range fast-food prices in Yerevan, and a 30 cm footlong plus drink usually stays under what you’d pay for a main course in the pre-security cafés. Card payment works fine and AMD pricing posts clearly on the boards.
Menu is the classic Subway playbook: tuna, chicken, turkey, meatball, veggie, with the usual breads and sauces. You’ll see the same build-your-own counter, with staff assembling sandwiches to order in a couple of minutes. Portion sizes match European Subways, not the largest US portions, so plan on a footlong if you’ve got a 4–5 hour flight to Europe.
Seats sit right by the outlet, but they’re limited and fill quickly around the late-night departures to Moscow and Europe. If you can’t find a table, you can walk your sub back toward the gates in T2 and usually grab a spare chair near the windows. Packaging holds up fine for a 10–15 minute walk across the concourse.
Tip: if you land hungry and connect out of T2 within 90 minutes, skip the smaller snack kiosks by the gates and head straight here once you clear security; lines move faster and you’ll get a full meal instead of just chips and candy.
