Gate-side drinks in T2 after 5 PM
Bar 1 sits airside in Terminal T2, opening daily from 5 PM to 11 PM, so it only works for evening departures or late arrivals. It’s a straight bar setup with international drinks and light bites, not a full restaurant. Expect mid-range prices in the $$ bracket, slightly above central Yerevan but normal for an airport.
The draw here is the mojito, which shows up in a lot of photos and reviews as the go-to order. Staff mix it properly with fresh mint and lime rather than a sugary premix, which matters when you’re paying sit-down airport prices. Figure on cocktail pricing landing in the mid-teens in USD equivalent once converted from Armenian dram.
Bar 1 is post-security in T2, so you clear passport control and screening first, then walk a few minutes toward the main international gates. Seating runs along the bar with a limited number of stools; this is more “quick drink before boarding gate B” than long layover camp-out. The rating hovers around 4.2, which is solid for a small airport bar with steady traffic.
Food options are secondary here, and reviews don’t single out any dish, so treat the menu as backup if you missed a meal in Yerevan. Order the mojito or a straightforward spirit-and-mixer and skip anything that sounds overly complicated or dessert-like; the bar is set up for speed more than cocktail experimentation.
Practical tip: Bar 1 closes at 23:00 sharp, so for late-night flights out of T2, place last orders by 22:30 and carry a bottle of water from a nearby shop to your gate in case everything shuts while you’re boarding.
