Mr. Gyros

Shawarma wraps under 3,000 AMD before your T2 departure

Mr. Gyros sits airside in T2 after security, so you can grab something decent without backtracking through the single main landside café cluster. It’s a quick-service Greek-style spot: think gyros, souvlaki, and fries instead of full table service. Signage is clear in English and Armenian, which helps if you’ve just come off a late-night arrival and are bouncing straight to another flight.

Menu boards list gyros and shawarma-style wraps in the 2,500–3,500 AMD range, with combo meals (wrap, fries, soda) creeping closer to 4,500–5,000 AMD. Portions run bigger than what you’ll find at the small pastry kiosks near the T2 gates. If you want something more filling than a khachapuri slice or packaged sandwich, this is the better calorie-per-dram option.

Expect a basic fast-food setup: order at the counter, get a receipt, and wait 5–10 minutes while they grill and assemble your wrap. Seating is shared with neighboring outlets and runs along the central T2 concourse, so you’re eating within sight of the gate screens and boarding lines. It works fine for a 45–60 minute wait before boarding, though it’s not great if you need quiet to work on a laptop.

Stick to simple meat gyros, chicken souvlaki, and fries if you’re picky about food safety during travel days. Anything that sits in a heated display for more than 20–30 minutes looks and tastes tired, especially rice or mixed plates. Drink prices run a bit higher than in Yerevan city supermarkets, but comparable to other T2 outlets at EVN.

Plan your timing: lines spike right before late-night departures between 02:00 and 05:00 when several flights leave back-to-back from T2. If you’re on one of those red-eyes, order as soon as you clear security instead of waiting for boarding to be called.
