Gate-side coffee stop in T2
Two minutes from most boarding gates in Terminal T2, Jazzve is the main sit-down café once you clear security at Zvartnots (EVN). It runs through most of the day in sync with international departures, so you usually find it open for early-morning and late-night flights. Seating is standard tables and chairs, close enough to the concourse that you can hear boarding calls without stressing about missing announcements.
Jazzve leans heavily into Armenian-style coffee. Expect cezve coffee served in small cups, stronger than a typical 350 ml airport latte. Prices sit a bit above Yerevan city cafés: think around 1,800–2,500 AMD for coffee drinks and 2,500–4,000 AMD for pastries or light snacks. It’s fine for killing 30–40 minutes with a laptop and a cup rather than just standing by the gate.
Food is mostly café fare: pastries, simple sandwiches, and sweets rather than full hot meals. If you want something more substantial than a croissant or cake slice, eat earlier in Yerevan and treat Jazzve as a top-up spot. Portions skew small by North American standards but match typical European airport cafés. You pay at the counter in Armenian dram or by card; foreign credit cards usually run without issues.
Service pace tracks how full T2 departures are. When two or three widebodies leave within an hour, expect a 10–15 minute wait for made-to-order coffee instead of the quick 3–5 minute turnaround. Staff call out drinks in Armenian and English, so keep your receipt handy. Wi‑Fi from the terminal reaches most tables, but power outlets are limited to a few spots along the wall.
Tip: if your boarding pass time shows “final call” 20 minutes before departure, order takeaway coffee and sit at a table facing your exact gate number to keep the lines and status screen in sight.
