Green Bean at EVN: treat the name as a red herring

Trip reports and r/armenia threads put Green Bean on every Yerevan café shortlist, but all those mentions point to central city branches, not to Zvartnots International Airport’s T2 building. If you see the logo on a map or old blog post about EVN, assume it’s referencing the downtown spots near Abovyan Street and Tumanyan Street, not a verified airside café next to your gate.

Right now there’s no solid, recent evidence of a functioning Green Bean inside T2 past security, and reviewers talking about EVN food usually name other options by gate, not this one by name. The Reddit thread that lists Green Bean alongside Limona and Dalan clearly talks about central Yerevan, which is about 12 km from the airport and at least a 20–30 minute taxi ride in normal traffic.

Expect city pricing, not budget café pricing, if you head to a downtown Green Bean between flights; drip coffee and espresso in Yerevan’s specialty spots usually sit in the 1,500–2,500 AMD range, with light meals often around 3,000–5,000 AMD. That’s fine on a long layover with 4–6 hours to spare, but it’s a risk if you’re on a tight connection or landing late at night when EVN–city taxis can take longer to arrive.

If you specifically want Green Bean food or coffee, plan it as part of time in Yerevan city rather than counting on an airside branch in T2 before a 06:10 departure. Use your airport window for whatever cafés and kiosks you actually see open near your gate, then hit Green Bean downtown on a free afternoon. One practical move: on arrival, clear passport control, grab a taxi from the official stand, and stop by a central Green Bean before checking into your hotel.
