Gate-side caffeine in T2 without burning your budget

Cafe 2 sits airside in Terminal T2, past security and before most international gates, so you can grab something after passport control without backtracking. It runs daily from 6 AM to 8 PM, covering the first Armenia Airways departures and many late-afternoon flights. The setup is basic cafe-plus-bakery, more about quick fuel than lingering.

Prices sit at the low end for EVN, solid $ tier instead of lounge-level markup. A coffee and pastry combo usually lands well under what you’d pay landside in Yerevan’s center, and card payment is standard. With a 4.1 rating across recent reviews, it punches above what you’d expect from a small airport cafe in a single-terminal field.

The play here is the croissant, made in-house and baked in batches through the morning rush. If you hit it before about 10 AM, you have a good shot at one that’s still slightly warm; later in the day it’s more hit-or-miss, but still the best bet on the pastry shelf. Pair it with an espresso or cappuccino instead of the larger milk drinks if you care about coffee strength.

Food is grab-and-go friendly: sandwiches, simple cakes, and packets of snacks you can toss in a backpack for a 3–4 hour flight. There’s usually enough counter seating for 10–15 people, but during the morning bank you may end up standing with your cup. Service speed tracks the queue length; during the 7–8 AM wave, plan on 10 minutes from line to first sip.

Tip: if your boarding pass shows a remote stand departure at EVN, buy your drink here at Cafe 2 before heading to the bus gates in T2; you won’t find decent coffee once you’re queued downstairs.
