Most hotel shuttles at Eindhoven Airport pick up outside T1 arrivals
Pre-booked hotel shuttles run as van services and usually wait on the lane directly in front of the T1 arrivals exit, about 60–80 meters from the baggage hall doors. These are not walk-up taxis: you need a confirmed booking with your hotel or shuttle company before you land at EIN.
Most hotels that offer a shuttle set fixed time slots, often every 30 or 60 minutes during daytime, with reduced runs after 22:00. Prices vary a lot: some city hotels bundle the shuttle in a room rate, others charge around €5–€15 per person each way, and a few business hotels cap it as a flat fee per van.
Shuttles mainly run between Eindhoven Airport and hotels in the city center, roughly 7–9 km away, and to some business parks within a 15–20 minute drive. Vans are usually 7–9 seaters, so larger groups should flag exact passenger numbers when booking to avoid being split across two vehicles or waiting for a second run.
Booking is usually handled directly through the hotel website, an email confirmation, or a phone call at least 24 hours before arrival; a few properties ask you to call again after landing, once you clear T1 baggage claim, before they dispatch the van. Keep your flight number handy so they can track delays of 30 minutes or more.
Pick-up instructions typically specify a point like “airport exit” or “shuttle stand” in front of T1, and some drivers hold a tablet or printed sign with your name or hotel name. If your van is late by more than 15 minutes past the booked time, front desk staff usually suggest switching to a metered taxi from the same curb area in front of arrivals.
Compared with the airport bus to Eindhoven Centraal, which costs about €4–€5 one-way and runs every 15–30 minutes, pre-booked shuttles make most sense for groups of 3–5 people or for arrivals after 23:00 when public buses thin out. For solo travelers landing midday, the bus plus a short city taxi can still come out cheaper by several euros.
Practical tip: As soon as you land, turn off airplane mode and send the hotel a quick WhatsApp or call with your actual arrival time from T1 baggage claim; that simple step can cut curbside waiting by 10–15 minutes.
