Free bike racks sit directly outside Eindhoven Airport T1
The on-site bicycle parking is right in front of the T1 terminal entrance, a 1–3 minute walk from the doors depending on where you lock up. Racks are uncovered metal stands set on the main forecourt, so you can roll straight off the Fellenoord or Anthony Fokkerweg cycle paths and park without dealing with cars or barriers.
Parking your bike here costs €0 per day; there’s no ticket machine, no time limit printed on signs, and no barrier system like the car parks P1–P4 use. It’s standard open parking, so bring your own lock and assume your bike may sit there for several days if you fly a long weekend trip from EIN.
The bike area stretches along the terminal façade near the bus stops where lines 400 and 401 depart every 10–15 minutes to Eindhoven Centraal. That means you can combine bike plus bus if the weather turns, or leave the bike and ride into town in about 20 minutes from the airport bus station.
There’s no roof over the racks, so your bike takes full Dutch weather: rain, wind, and summer sun that hits 25–30°C on some days. If you ride a nicer e-bike that costs north of €1,500, consider an extra chain lock and a rain cover; several riders also loop through front wheels because the simple racks mainly grip the front tire.
Lighting in the forecourt stays on during the evening flight bank that often runs until around 23:00, so you can still see your lock after late Ryanair or Wizz Air arrivals. The path from the racks to the automatic doors of T1 is flat and step-free, so rolling a folding bike into the terminal and bag drop area takes under 2 minutes.
Step-by-step: using bicycle parking at Eindhoven Airport
- 1. Follow local cycle routes toward Eindhoven Airport until you see signs for “Luchthaven” near Anthony Fokkerweg.
- 2. Ride into the terminal forecourt and keep right, toward the main T1 entrance and bus stops 400/401.
- 3. Dismount at the edge of the pedestrian zone and walk the last 20–30 meters to the metal bike racks.
- 4. Choose a rack space, lock your frame and at least one wheel with your own lock, and remove any loose accessories like lights or a phone mount.
- 5. Take a quick photo of your bike spot relative to the T1 doors so you can find it fast on return.
- 6. On arrival back at EIN, exit T1 at the same front doors, walk the 1–3 minutes to the racks, unlock, and ride out following the painted cycle lane back toward Eindhoven.
One tip: add 5 extra minutes to your airport arrival time to park, lock carefully, and walk to security on the first floor of T1.
