Travel Value Duty Free

Gate-side liquor deals start just past security in T1

Travel Value Duty Free sits airside in Terminal T1 at Eindhoven Airport, right after security and before the main gates. You walk straight into shelves of spirits, perfume, and cosmetics, all under the standard duty free pricing rules for your destination. It’s the only full duty free shop in EIN, so this is your main chance to grab tax-free bottles or last‑minute gifts.

Alcohol dominates the front section, with 1L bottles of mainstream whisky, gin, and vodka typically marked with multi-buy offers (think “2 for” deals). Tobacco products sit in a separate counter area with clear pricing by carton. You’ll also find skincare and fragrances from the usual European brands, plus some mid‑range sunglasses and watches near the center aisle.

Toward the back of Travel Value Duty Free, shelves switch to Dutch chocolates, stroopwafels, and cheese gift packs with printed “Holland” branding and airport-friendly packaging sizes. Snacks and soft drinks run higher than city supermarket prices, but still beat most gate kiosks in T1. Chocolate multipacks and tins usually work out cheaper per piece than buying single bars from smaller stands near the boarding areas.

Lines spike sharply during morning departures from 06:00 to 09:00 and again in the late afternoon wave after 16:00, when multiple low‑cost flights board close together. Staff push last‑minute promotions near the till, which can slow things down. If you want time to compare bottle prices or build a gift bag, walk through once on arrival at security, note any deals, then circle back about 30 minutes before boarding.
