Right after security in T1, Relay is your last-minute fix for reading material.
Relay sits airside in Terminal T1 at Eindhoven Airport, just past security and before the main gate area. It’s a compact newsstand-style shop that focuses on books, magazines, and newspapers, so it works for both a 40-minute delay and a two-hour layover. The shop is clearly signed as “Relay” and is one of the few dedicated book options in the terminal.
You’ll find paperbacks in multiple languages, with Dutch and English taking up most of the shelves in T1’s Relay. Pricing lands in typical airport territory, with new releases and bestsellers a few euros above city-centre bookshops. Alongside books, there are current-day newspapers and weekly magazines, which help if you just want something light for a 1–2 hour flight.
Relay in Eindhoven T1 also carries basic travel extras: pens, small notebooks, earphones, and a limited rack of snacks and bottled drinks, giving you a one-stop grab spot before you head to the gates. Stock is geared to short-haul European flights, so think more crime novels and thrillers than heavy hardbacks. If you want a very specific title, expect to strike out here.
One tip: clear security first, then head straight to Relay in T1 before you start strolling the gate area; the closer kiosks can get picked over later in the day, especially before morning departures between 06:00 and 09:00.
