Business and First Emirates tickets often include Chauffeur Drive.

If you’re flying Emirates Business or First into or out of DXB T3, check your fare: many full-fare and most award upgrades on EK-issued tickets include Chauffeur Drive by Emirates, a prebooked car service between the airport and your home, hotel, or office. Economy tickets generally don’t qualify, and codeshares on other airlines usually miss out.

You need to book Chauffeur Drive online or via the Emirates app, typically up to 12 hours before your flight; you can’t just walk up on arrival and add it. The service covers specific zones within Dubai and often extends to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, but each city has its own maximum distance in kilometers, published on the Emirates site at booking.

On arrival at DXB Terminal 3, follow the “Chauffeur Drive” signs after baggage claim; the desk usually sits just past customs in the main arrivals hall with Emirates branding and numbered counters. Staff confirm your name and flight number, then assign a driver from the queue of black cars waiting at the curb outside Door numbers marked for premium services.

Cars are typically recent-model sedans or SUVs from brands like Mercedes or Lexus, with bottled water in the back and space for at least 2 large suitcases plus a carry-on or two. For families with more than 3 passengers or bulky luggage, request a larger vehicle when booking; otherwise you risk two cars or a tight squeeze.

The ride to Downtown Dubai from DXB T3 by Chauffeur Drive usually takes around 15–25 minutes depending on Sheikh Zayed Road traffic and time of day. You don’t pay the driver anything if you stay within the included distance; tips are optional cash in AED and not added to your ticket. Extra kilometers beyond the published limit get charged according to Emirates’ fixed per-kilometer rate.

One catch: Emirates only includes one Chauffeur Drive segment per eligible flight, so you can’t stack multiple stops into a single journey. Address changes close to pickup time often require a call to Emirates and can be refused if they push the distance outside your booked city zone.

Practical tip: lock in your Chauffeur Drive as soon as your ticket number appears, then take a screenshot of the confirmation with the booking reference, pickup time, and address before you land in DXB or head to T3.
