The Bar

Beer runs about 80,000 IDR at The Bar in DPS

The Bar sits airside in the International terminal at Denpasar, a short walk from several gates used by Singapore Airlines and Jetstar. It’s a straight shot option if you want a drink after immigration but before boarding. Seating is mostly high stools around the counter plus a few small tables, so think short stays rather than a long laptop session.

Expect to pay around 70,000–90,000 IDR for local beer and from roughly 120,000 IDR upward for simple mixed drinks. That’s higher than Kuta street prices but normal for I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Food, when offered, tends to be basic snacks and bar bites, not a full meal replacement. Figure on 20–30 minutes from order to finish if you’re just having one drink.

The Bar usually opens by the first bank of international departures in the morning, often around 6:00–7:00, and stays open until the late-night flights to Australia and the Middle East. It’s fully post-security, after immigration and bag checks, so you can stay here until boarding calls hit the screens for your specific gate. Power outlets are limited, and most stools face the bar rather than the concourse.

There’s no specialty cocktail menu tied to Bali here; you’ll see the standard airport lineup: simple spirits, a couple of wines by the glass, and mainstream beers like Bintang. Coffee is available but not the strong point, especially compared with the dedicated cafes elsewhere in the International terminal. Service pace tracks how busy the gate area is, so during the 20:00–23:00 departure wave your drink can take 10–15 minutes.

Tip: check your boarding pass for a final-call time and sit where you can see the nearest departure screens; DPS gate changes for international flights are common in the last 30 minutes before boarding.
