Old Town White Coffee

Near International departures, Old Town White Coffee is the airport branch of Malaysia’s famous kopitiam chain.

This spot sits airside in the International terminal, so you clear immigration and security first, then find it along the main departures concourse before the higher-numbered gates. It runs roughly from early morning check‑in waves through the last late‑night flights, making it one of the few coffee shops still open when 23:30 red‑eyes start boarding.

Prices land higher than city cafés in Bali: expect around IDR 40,000–55,000 for hot white coffee and about IDR 60,000–90,000 for simple meals like nasi lemak, kaya toast sets, or fried noodles. Portions are smaller than in town, but still enough if you just need something before a 4–6 hour flight out of DPS.

The signature white coffee uses roasted beans with margarine, giving a sweeter, caramel note compared to standard espresso; order it “hot” or “iced” and skip extra sugar if you don’t like very sweet drinks. Food is basic Malaysian café fare: kaya toast, soft‑boiled eggs, curry puff pastries, and rice dishes. Skip anything that looks like it has been sitting in the display for more than 20–30 minutes and stick to items they call out to the kitchen.

Seating is tight, with a handful of two‑tops and a counter facing the concourse, so in peak banks around the 09:00–11:00 and 18:00–21:00 departures, you might be sharing a table or taking your coffee back to the gate. Power outlets are limited to one or two spots along the wall, and there’s no dedicated restroom; you use the terminal toilets about 30–40 meters away.

Lines spike fast when multiple Australia and Asia flights board, so if you want coffee and a toast set before a morning departure, aim to get there at least 30 minutes before your gate’s posted boarding time.
