La Place

Near the International gates, La Place is the safe airport fallback

La Place sits airside in the International terminal at Denpasar (DPS), a few minutes’ walk from most boarding gates. It runs through typical long-haul bank times, generally open from early morning departures until late-night flights to Australia and Asia. Expect standard airport pricing: simple mains and sandwiches usually land in the IDR 120,000–200,000 range, with coffee around IDR 40,000–60,000.

The menu leans on familiar cafe fare: sandwiches, burgers, pasta, salads, and a few Indonesian basics like nasi goreng and mie goreng. Portion sizes track with other sit-down spots in DPS International, big enough to carry you through a 4–6 hour flight but not oversized. If you only have 25–30 minutes before boarding, stick to sandwiches, salads, or fries, which typically come out faster than hot mains.

Drinks list hits the usuals: espresso-based coffee, bottled soft drinks, juices, local Bintang beer, and a short list of mixed drinks. A small beer generally falls in the IDR 70,000–90,000 band, and mixed drinks price up closer to IDR 140,000 and above. If you’re pre-flight and aiming to stay sharp, the double espresso is a better call than the sweet blended coffees, which are heavy on syrup.

There’s basic table seating with power outlets at a few wall tables, useful if you need to bring a laptop up from 20% before a 6-hour sector. Turnover runs quickly around the midnight departure push, so a 10–15 minute wait for a table is possible but not locked in. Service times vary; pad in an extra 20 minutes if you’re ordering hot food during the late-night Australia bank.

One tip: if your flight boards from a remote stand, ask the server what time they usually call buses for your airline and back-time your meal by at least 30 minutes.
