Dim Sum Inc

Next to the International check-in area, Dim Sum Inc fills a gap

Dim Sum Inc sits landside at Denpasar’s International terminal, useful if you reach DPS early or are waiting on a late-night pickup. It runs long hours in line with peak departures, so you can usually grab something hot before those 00:30–02:00 long-haul flights. Being pre-security, it works for both arriving and departing passengers, plus anyone seeing friends off.

The menu leans on classic baskets: expect siu mai, har gow, bao, and a few fried bites, all priced in the lower-to-mid range for an airport, roughly IDR 30,000–60,000 per portion. Portions come small, so budget at least three plates if you want a full meal, which still keeps you under about IDR 180,000 before drinks. Tea and soft drinks are the standard add-ons; alcohol is limited or absent depending on the day.

Turnaround on steamed items typically runs around 10–15 minutes, which fits into a normal check-in window at DPS where airlines often open counters three hours before departure. If you are tight on time and your flight boards from the International terminal’s farther gates (like 7–9), stick to ready-made fried snacks instead of custom steam baskets to avoid clock-watching.

Seating is standard two- and four-top tables, enough for a quick sit-down before you head to security, but it can fill up around the banks of departures at 21:00–23:00. Expect the usual airport markup compared with Kuta or Jimbaran street options, but still cheaper than many branded cafés inside International security. Payment is straightforward with Indonesian cards and cash; some foreign cards occasionally fail, so having at least IDR 200,000 in notes helps.

Practical tip: if you want dim sum here and also need to clear International immigration and security, start wrapping up about 70 minutes before a widebody departure and 60 minutes before a regional flight to keep stress levels down.
