Souvenir Shop

T1 post-security Souvenir Shop is your last-minute stop

This Souvenir Shop sits airside in Terminal T1 at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, after security and before the main Schengen gates. It focuses on small gifts you can grab in under 5 minutes between boarding calls. Expect shelves of Bologna- and Italy-themed items rather than full-duty-free style shopping.

Pricing skews typical-airport: fridge magnets around €5–€7, keyrings in the €4–€6 range, and simple tote bags or caps usually under €20. You’ll also see pre-packed souvenirs that travel well in hand luggage, like boxed trinket sets and small local-themed accessories that won’t trigger extra screening.

The shop usually trades through the main flight banks, opening from early morning departures around 06:00 and staying open into the evening push. It targets passengers already through security in T1, so you don’t need to head landside or backtrack once you’re at the gates. Figure 5–10 minutes to walk there and browse before most short-haul boarding times.

Watch out for anything glass or bulky that might eat up cabin bag space; some larger decorative pieces can be awkward in a 55 x 40 x 20 cm roller. Soft goods like T-shirts and totes pack flatter and are easier to fit under the seat on a full Ryanair or Wizz Air flight from BLQ.

Tip: check your airline’s cabin bag rules before buying bigger items here, and keep one outside pocket or packing cube empty so your new souvenir has a guaranteed spot.
