Bologna Store

Gate-side stop for last-minute Bologna souvenirs

Bologna Store sits airside in T1, past security, and focuses on local food gifts rather than generic duty free. You’ll see it along the main departures walkway on the way to the Schengen gates, so you don’t need a detour from most BLQ departures.

Think edible gifts first: boxed tortellini, jars of ragù alla bolognese, Parmigiano Reggiano wedges, and balsamic vinegar from nearby Modena. Prices run tourist-high but not crazy; figure around €6–€8 for small pasta packs and €12–€20 for better cheeses or sauces.

Non-food stock includes magnets, keychains, mugs, and Bologna- and Emilia-Romagna-branded T-shirts, usually in the €8–€25 range. It fills the gap if you skipped the city shops and only remember souvenirs when you reach boarding zone C or D in T1.

Opening times generally track departures, with shutters up from early-morning waves around 5:30–6:00 until the last evening flights after 21:00. If you land late and connect out of BLQ before 7:00, don’t count on it being open for a pre-dawn purchase.

Quality skews better on sealed Italian products than on logo merch, so pick up vacuum-packed salumi or DOP cheese before grabbing another €10 fridge magnet. Items are all security-friendly and already packaged for cabin baggage, which simplifies packing if you board from nearby gates in T1.

Tip: if your boarding pass shows a Schengen gate at the far end of T1, shop here first; choices shrink and prices sometimes rise at smaller stands closer to the gates.
