P3 Holiday

Long-stay economy

Daily rates at P3 Holiday usually beat the closer BLQ car parks.

P3 Holiday is Bologna Airport’s long-stay economy car park, set up for trips longer than 3–4 days when P1 and P2 start to get pricey. It sits in the airport parking zone serving Terminal T1, with shuttle access into the terminal. Keep it in mind if your stay runs to a week or more and you care more about price than a 2-minute walk.

The car park operates 24/7 in line with Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport’s flight schedule, so late arrivals from the 23:00–01:00 bank or early 06:00 departures are covered. Entry and exit use automated barriers; you pull a ticket or use your online booking code at the gate. Lighting and basic CCTV are in place across the fenced perimeter.

P3 Holiday is unroofed surface parking, so your car sits in the open during Bologna’s winter rain and August sun. Spaces are standard-size for European cars; oversized SUVs or vans may be tighter to slot, especially if you arrive during the Friday 16:00–20:00 rush. Marked pedestrian paths guide you to the shuttle pick-up points within the P3 area.

Online prebooking usually locks in better daily and weekly rates than drive-up payment at the P3 Holiday pay stations. You can pay at the terminal-side machines or at exit barriers by card; carry a backup card in case your primary fails, as reports mention occasional contactless hiccups at Italian airport car parks in general.

Plan 10–15 minutes from locking your car in P3 Holiday to reaching Terminal T1 check-in, including shuttle time and a short walk. If you’re on a Schengen flight boarding from around gate 10–20, aim to park at least 2 hours before departure to clear security without stress. One practical tip: photograph your row number and the nearest shuttle stop sign before you leave the car; the lot is big enough that it all looks the same on return at 22:00.
