Motorbike Parking

Motorcycle area

Right by Terminal 1, this area is only for motorbikes

Motorbike Parking at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport sits next to Terminal 1 (T1) and is marked specifically for two-wheelers. You park in dedicated motorcycle bays, not squeezed into car spaces. The layout is open-air, so your bike is exposed to the weather, but you avoid the car-park chaos at peak morning departures around 06:00–09:00.

This is standard outdoor motorcycle parking, not a locked garage, so think in terms of short to medium stays rather than leaving your bike for two weeks in January. It sits within easy walking distance of the main departures entrance at BLQ, usually under 5–7 minutes on foot depending on your pace and luggage.

Signage for Motorbike Parking appears on the airport approach roads to Bologna Airport, along the same access route used for the main car parks. Look for the motorcycle icon and follow it toward Terminal 1, instead of turning into the multi-storey car park or long-stay lots. Pay stations for the vehicle parks are usually grouped together, so expect to use the same pay machines as car drivers.

Prices for two-wheelers at BLQ are typically lower than the main short-stay car parking around T1, but still meter by the hour and day. Check the current motorcycle tariff on the official Bologna Airport website before a long trip, especially if you plan to be away more than 3–4 days, as car-park rates in Italy can climb fast over a full week.

Practical tip: bring a solid disc lock or chain and a rain cover, even for a single overnight, since Motorbike Parking is open-air and in regular public view near Terminal 1.
