200 meters from T1, under cover the whole stay
P2 Covered sits about 200 meters from Bologna Airport T1, so you walk to the terminal in roughly 3–4 minutes on a signed pedestrian route. It’s a long-stay covered car park, useful if your trip runs for several days and you don’t want the car sitting in full sun or getting soaked in autumn storms.
This is an official on-airport lot, inside the airport road loop and clearly signed as “P2 Coperto” when you drive in. You grab a ticket at the barrier, park in a marked bay across several levels, then walk straight to Departures on the T1 side. No shuttle bus, no extra check-in, and you keep your own keys the entire time.
P2 Covered usually prices under the closest premium short-stay options by the terminal doors, especially once you cross the 24‑hour mark. Online prebooking on the Bologna (BLQ) site often cuts the day rate compared with turning up and taking a ticket at the gate, particularly for 3–7 day trips. For very short stays under 12 hours, P1 or another surface lot can come out cheaper.
The structure is multi-storey and covered, so cars are shielded from hail and summer peaks above 30°C. Spaces near the pedestrian exits to T1 go first, and larger cars may prefer corner bays on upper levels for extra room. Mark your level and zone number: “P2, Level 3” saves you circling ramps after a late arrival.
Tip: if you booked online, print or download the QR code before you reach BLQ; scanning it at the P2 barrier speeds up both entry and exit compared with using the help intercom.
