Haldiram's

T1

T1’s Haldiram’s sits landside before security near check-in

Haldiram’s in Terminal T1 is on the public side of the terminal, handy if you’re meeting someone or early for a domestic departure and not ready to clear security yet. It’s a fast-food style counter with self-service seating, so think quick stop more than long sit-down meal. Being landside also means it can get spillover from friends and family seeing passengers off.

The menu follows the standard Haldiram’s playbook: chole bhature, raj kachori, pav bhaji, chaat plates, along with packed namkeen and sweets for takeaway. Expect most hot dishes in the ₹150–₹300 range, with snacks and chaat cheaper and boxed sweets going up by weight. If you want something relatively filling without going overboard, one plate of chole bhature or pav bhaji usually does the job for one person.

For quick eats under 10 minutes, stick to pre-prepped items like samosas, kachori, or ready chaat instead of dosa or anything that needs griddle time. Standard Haldiram’s sweets like rasgulla, kaju katli, and soan papdi are available boxed, easy to carry as gifts if you’re flying out of AMD on a domestic or international connection from T2 later. Just watch your cabin baggage limits; a kilo of sweets adds up fast.

Drinks are mostly bottled water, soft drinks, and tea/coffee, with prices roughly ₹30–₹80 depending on brand and size. If you’re sensitive to spice before a flight, mention “less masala” when ordering chaat or pav bhaji; they usually tone it down without argument. There’s often a queue of five to ten people in the evening, so budget at least 15–20 minutes from lining up to sitting down with your tray.

Tip: if your boarding pass says T2 international and you want Haldiram’s snacks for the flight, buy them here in T1 before transferring, since options for Indian mithai airside in T2 are hit-or-miss and usually pricier.
