Grab a cart before you enter AMD T1 security
Baggage Trolleys in Terminal T1 sit on the public side, before security, so plan to pick one up as soon as you step into the departures hall. This is a basic airport service, not a shop or café, and it sits in the “$” price tier, which in practice usually means free-to-use or a small refundable deposit depending on the stand. If you’re dropped at the domestic entrance, you’ll see trolley banks near the main doors and check-in rows.
This spot is marked as a service and convenience point in T1 and rated -1 in our system, which just flags that it’s functional, not something you go out of your way to “rate.” Expect standard metal carts suitable for 2–3 checked bags plus a cabin bag. Because it’s pre-security, you can grab one the moment your bags hit the curb and push straight to your airline’s check-in counters.
Being outside security also means this is the last place family or drivers can help you with luggage before they say goodbye. If you arrive with multiple 23 kg bags, a stroller, or duty-free from elsewhere, plan on picking up a trolley here instead of juggling everything through the airline queue. You won’t find trolleys easily once you commit to the security line inside T1.
Tip: if you have an early-morning T1 departure, build in an extra 10 minutes; trolley banks near the main doors can thin out during those 04:00–06:00 bank of flights, so walk 20–30 meters toward the far end of the check-in rows if the first stand is empty.
