T1 landside parents end up at Baby Care a lot.
This is a basic family service room in Terminal T1, before security, so you can use it even if older relatives aren’t flying. It sits in the public departures area, price tier marked as $, which in practice means no fee for the essentials: a quiet space, changing tables, and washbasin access. Signage in T1 is hit-or-miss, so look for the generic "Baby Care" or "Child Care" boards near the main check-in zone.
Because it’s landside, Baby Care works well if you arrive at AMD early with an infant and don’t want to juggle diaper changes in the main restrooms. T1 security can spike past 30 minutes in peak evening bank times, so handle feeds and changes here first, then head to screening. Once you clear into T1’s gate area, you won’t find many kid-specific facilities.
There’s no formal rating data for Baby Care yet (it shows as -1 in our sources), but think functional government-style room, not lounge. Expect basic seating, a couple of padded changing surfaces, and running water; don’t expect formula, diapers or wipes on hand. Bring your own kit and treat this as a cleaner, more private alternative to the standard T1 toilets.
Hours aren’t prominently posted online, but T1’s passenger flow runs from the early-morning departures bank around 04:00 through late-night flights after 23:00, and these facilities usually mirror terminal operating times. If you land late into T1 and relatives are meeting you outside, you can still duck in here before heading to the car park.
Tip: at check-in in T1, ask staff to point to the nearest "Baby Care" sign on the same level, then plan one stop there before you join the security queue.
