T1 $$$$ Landside

INR, USD, and more sorted before T1 security

This Forex counter sits landside in Terminal T1, before security, so it works for both departures and airport visitors seeing someone off. It’s a basic service kiosk, not a lounge or café, with the focus on exchanging cash and handling last-minute currency needs.

Pricing is in the $ tier for the airport, meaning you’re paying with spreads and fees rather than a posted service charge menu. Rates change through the day, and you won’t find a public price list as transparent as an online bank rate, so treat this as a convenience option, not a deal hunter’s stop.

The name is just Forex, and that’s exactly what you get: currency exchange and related services, usually covering INR, USD, EUR, GBP and a few other common currencies. There’s no seating, no Wi‑Fi, and no food; think quick counter stop while you’re still in T1’s public area.

Because it’s not post-security, you can also use it on arrival if you land in T1 and walk out to meet your ride. If you’re connecting to an international flight in T2, factor in the transfer time and immigration checks; this counter doesn’t help once you’ve moved terminals and gone airside.

There’s no public rating yet (listed as -1), so assume standard airport exchange behavior and read the slip before you sign. Ask the staff to confirm the rate and total INR difference on, say, $100 or €100, and compare it to what you roughly expect from your bank’s rate.

Tip: If you only need a small amount of foreign cash, exchange the bare minimum at this T1 landside Forex counter, then plan to use cards or ATMs once you’re in the city.
