Breakfast starts early at the Main Cafeteria in T1
Doors usually open around 05:00 at the Main Cafeteria in Terminal T1, handy if you’re on one of the first Air Côte d’Ivoire departures. It sits landside near the main check-in hall, so you can grab a bite before security or while waiting on check-in to open. Seating is basic canteen-style, but there are enough tables for groups, not just solo travelers guarding a suitcase.
Most hot plates sit in the 3,000–5,000 CFA range, so you’re not paying Paris prices before stepping on an A330. Expect simple rice dishes, grilled meats, and stews rather than made-to-order restaurant plating. Coffee and soft drinks usually run under 1,500 CFA, and you’ll see bottled water everywhere if you want something you can carry through to the gate.
The setup is classic self-service cafeteria: you queue with a tray, point at what you want, then pay at the end. Turnover is quick around the morning and late-afternoon bank of regional flights, so hot dishes don’t sit around for hours. If you want more time, build in at least 25–30 minutes before you need to head to security and passport control.
Portions tend to skew large compared with fast food at many airports, which helps if you’re about to board a 6–7 hour overnight sector to Europe with only one main meal on board. If you prefer lighter food, you can stick to couscous, salad sides, or just grab pastries and a drink. Prices stay clearly posted at the counter, which cuts down on surprises when you reach the till.
One practical tip: if you’re departing from T2 on an international flight, eat here before moving across, since T1’s Main Cafeteria gives you more substantial hot food than most small gate kiosks and keeps your spend under about 6,000–7,000 CFA for a full plate and drink.
