Bar Cafétéria

T1’s Bar Cafétéria sits landside near departures check-in

You’ll find Bar Cafétéria in Terminal 1, before security near the main departures hall, so it works for both meeters/greeters and checked-in passengers. It’s a basic counter-service setup with self-serve seating, more like a European station café than a full restaurant. Expect simple food and drink, ordered at the counter and usually ready in under 10 minutes.

Open from early morning until evening flight banks in T1, Bar Cafétéria covers the classic airport needs: coffee, soft drinks, bottled water, beer, and straightforward snacks. Prices run lower than many airside spots in West Africa; think roughly local street-café levels rather than hotel-bar markup. It’s one of the few places you can grab a drink while still able to step outside for a last fresh-air break before security.

Food is mostly light: pastries, sandwiches, and small plates, often pre-made and kept in a display case by the counter. Expect items like ham-and-cheese baguette, simple croissants, and packaged chips rather than hot cooked mains. If you want a quick bite before a regional hop with Air Côte d’Ivoire from T1, 15–20 minutes is usually enough time to order, eat, and walk to security.

Alcohol options usually include basic local and imported beers plus a couple of standard spirits; this is more “beer with a sandwich” than cocktail bar. Coffee service leans espresso-based, with cappuccino and café au lait poured from a standard machine rather than a specialty setup. Figure on paying about the price of a mid-range coffee in central Abidjan, not Paris CDG levels.

Practical tip: if you want more choice and don’t need to meet anyone landside, clear security for T1 first, then compare Bar Cafétéria’s light options with what’s available at the few smaller airside kiosks before boarding.
