Near T1 check-in, Airport Bar is the default pre-flight drink stop
Airport Bar sits landside in Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, close to the main T1 departures hall, so you can sit with a drink while still watching the check-in lines. It’s a straightforward bar setup: counter seating plus a few small tables, all within sight of the T1 entrance doors and departure screens.
Drinks run on the higher side for Abidjan, as you’d expect in ABJ: plan on paying roughly the equivalent of €3–€5 for a local beer and more for basic mixed drinks. Wine by the glass tends to sit in the same price band as mixed drinks, so beer or soft drinks give better value if you’re price-sensitive.
Food is limited, so treat Airport Bar as a place for a drink and a quick snack, not a full meal before a long-haul. Expect packaged nuts or chips and, at best, a simple sandwich depending on the day and time. If you need something more substantial before an evening departure out of T1 or T2, eat in the city first or look for a restaurant closer to your specific gate airside.
Service speed at Airport Bar depends a lot on crowd levels, especially in the late afternoon bank of flights between roughly 16:00 and 20:00. With one bartender covering most tasks, your beer might arrive in two minutes at 10:00 but take ten minutes during the evening rush. Pay as you go rather than starting a tab; it simplifies things if your boarding time creeps up.
One practical tip: build in a 20–25 minute buffer here before T1 or T2 security so you can finish your drink, pay the bill in CFA or card, and still clear formalities ahead of boarding time.
