Gate E shops include a Läderach duty free counter

Right in Terminal E, Läderach sits in the duty free zone, so you can grab Swiss chocolate after passport control without backtracking. It’s airside, so this works nicely for long-haul departures using the E gates. Figure 5–10 minutes’ walk from most E-gate holding areas, depending on your exact gate assignment.

This is not a full café, just retail: chocolate bars, boxed pralines, and gift-ready assortments under the Läderach brand. Prices run above Coop or Migros in landside ZRH, but you’re paying for both the brand and the airside location. Expect small bar prices in the CHF 5–7 range and larger gift boxes in the CHF 20–40 bracket.

Selection leans toward travel-friendly packaging, so more sealed bars and pre-packed mixes than loose counter service. If you want the classic FrischSchoggi slab style, check the display thoroughly; not every E pier visit sees the same cuts or seasonal flavors. Staff usually handle cut-and-pack service quickly, but around the evening long-haul bank (roughly 18:00–21:00) lines can stack up.

If you’re connecting into Terminal E from A or B/D, remember the Skymetro hop adds a few minutes, so don’t plan this as a last two-minute grab. Tip: if you know you want gifts, stop here before you head down to the lower E gates like E59–E67, since coming back up costs you time in the elevator and crowd traffic.
