10–15 minutes from T3 by foot, P2 is for quick stops

P2 Parking Lot sits close to the main terminal area at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, with walking access to T2 and T3 in roughly 10–15 minutes depending on your pace. It’s a short-stay car park, best used for drop-offs, pick-ups, and same-day trips rather than leaving your car for a week. Signage on the airport ring road points to P2 clearly in both Chinese and English, so watch for the “P2” markers as you approach the terminal complex.

This is a surface lot, not a garage, so you park at ground level and roll your bags straight toward the terminal. Because P2 is set up for short-stay parking, daily costs typically run higher than the outer long-term lots on the airport perimeter, but you save on shuttle time. It primarily serves T2 and T3 passengers; T5 is newer and sits farther out, so factor in extra time or consider a different lot if you’re flying from T5.

P2 operates 24 hours a day, aligned with Xi'an Xianyang’s flight schedule, which includes late-night and early-morning departures. Payment machines near the pedestrian exits usually accept cash and major Chinese mobile payments, and some lanes support card payment at the barrier. Keep your ticket handy; losing it often triggers a fixed-fee penalty, and that can cost more than a typical half-day stay.

There are no airport shuttles circulating P2 like a distant economy lot, so you walk directly from your space to the terminal curb, passing marked pedestrian paths and crossings on the way. Lighting runs across the rows at night, but pick a spot closer to the main exit lane if you arrive after 22:00 and want a shorter walk. If you’re meeting someone in arrivals at T3, aim to park near the side of P2 that aligns with the T3 entrance to cut down your curb-to-car time.

Final tip: build in an extra 15 minutes on top of your normal check-in buffer to account for finding a space, walking from P2, and clearing security in T2 or T3.
