Gate-side in T2, this is the main souvenir stop
This Souvenir Shop sits inside Terminal 2 at Hosea Kutako International Airport, past security for international departures. It’s small, so you can loop the whole place in five minutes, but it covers the basics: postcards, fridge magnets, simple T-shirts, and a few Namibian-themed caps. Expect tourist pricing rather than city-center pricing, with keychains in the NAD 40–60 range and basic shirts running closer to NAD 250–350.
Most flights out of T2 at WDH bunch around late morning and late evening, so expect the shop to be open from roughly first departures until the last long-haul push. Stock leans generic African animals more than specific “Windhoek” designs, but you’ll still find a few pieces clearly marked “Namibia” if you scan the racks by the back wall. If you want something quick for kids, the soft toy section usually sits near the entrance and is easy to hit on a tight boarding call.
Quality is mixed: magnets and postcards are safe buys, while the cheaper cotton T-shirts can feel thin and may shrink after one hot wash. Prices on small carved animals and bowls start around NAD 120 and climb fast, so compare a few shelves before grabbing the first one you see. If you’ve got a longer layover and care about price, walk the whole T2 concourse first, then circle back here in the last 20 minutes before boarding.
