T2 side of departures, Cultural Gifts Store is your souvenir stop

This small shop sits airside in Terminal T2, past passport control and a 2–3 minute walk from most international gates. It focuses on Namibia-themed souvenirs rather than generic duty free: think fridge magnets with “Windhoek” printed on them, animal-print mugs, and patterned bags. Stock is simple but on point if you just realized you forgot gifts before boarding.

Prices run mid-range for an airport: keyrings hover around N$60–N$80, basic T-shirts often land in the N$250–N$350 bracket, and small carved items can push higher. Nothing here feels like a true bargain, but it also isn’t the eye-watering pricing you see in some larger hubs. Cards are accepted, though the terminals can lag a bit, so keep a backup card or some Namibian dollars handy.

Most items lean into safari and wildlife themes, with plenty of elephants, rhinos, and giraffes on prints and trinkets. If you want something that clearly says “Namibia” or “Windhoek,” look for printed cotton totes and logo caps rather than the more generic animal figures. Packaging is compact enough that even the boxed items slip easily into a standard carry-on or laptop bag.

Selection is better earlier in the day; by late-afternoon bank of departures around 16:00–18:00, some shelves can look picked over. The store generally tracks flight waves, so expect it to be open for morning and evening international departures. Quick tip: if you see a design you like on the way out of passport control, buy it then instead of waiting until boarding is called.
