T2’s Gourmet Food Store sits landside before security

This is the small general food shop in Terminal T2 at Hosea Kutako International Airport, useful if you want something quick before passport control. Stock leans toward packaged snacks, sweets, and basic drinks rather than hot meals, so think crisps, chocolate bars, and bottled water instead of a sit-down option. It’s a decent backup if the café line in T2 stretches past 10 minutes and you just need something in your bag for a short regional hop.

Hours track with most departures out of T2, generally opening at least 2 hours before the first scheduled flight and staying open until the last evening departure boards. Prices run higher than Windhoek city supermarkets — expect to pay roughly NAD 20–30 for bottled drinks and around NAD 25–40 for basic snacks. You can pay with Namibian dollars or major cards, including Visa and MasterCard, which helps if you’re only transiting Namibia once.

Stock is limited by the size of T2, so don’t count on full meals or specialty dietary items here. You’ll see standard chocolate brands, chips, a few pastries depending on the time of day, and soft drinks in 330–500 ml bottles. If you want anything more substantial than snack food, plan to eat at the airport café in T1 or T2 at least 45 minutes before boarding instead of relying on this store.

Tip: pick up water and snacks here right after check-in in T2 so you can head straight to security when your flight finally shows “go to gate” on the single small departures screen.
