Gate-side accessories in Terminal 1
Five minutes’ walk from most Terminal 1 Schengen gates, Watch & Sunglasses is the quick stop if you realize your wrist or eyes are bare just before boarding. The shop sits airside in Terminal 1, so you reach it after security and passport control, not from the public check-in hall.
Expect mid-range fashion brands more than high-end Swiss boutique labels, with prices that tend to sit in the €80–€250 band for watches and roughly €60–€180 for sunglasses. You won’t see every brand under the sun, but you can usually find a basic steel dress watch, a sportier chronograph, and at least one polarized sunglass line in each major style category.
Inventory leans toward current-season styles rather than clearance bins, so don’t come here hunting for deep discounts. Think full retail on a Tissot-style dress watch or a Ray-Ban‑type frame, not outlet pricing. If you only have 20–30 minutes before boarding, you can still get a strap sized or pick from a couple of color options without feeling rushed.
Staff typically handle simple bracelet resizing on the spot, which is useful if you buy a metal-band model right before a 2–3 hour flight out of VIE. Sunglasses come with basic cases, and you can usually add cleaning cloths or small accessories at the counter in Terminal 1 instead of hunting elsewhere.
Tip: Check your gate on the Terminal 1 screens before walking over; it’s easier to stop here if you’re flying Austrian or another Schengen carrier departing from the 1-prefix gates.
