Duty free is thin at UVF; Mano’s Enterprises is it

On the Main Terminal departure side at Hewanorra (UVF), Mano’s Enterprises is one of the few duty free stops you’ll see after security. It sits in the small central retail strip used by outbound flights to the US, Canada, and the UK. If you want duty free at UVF, plan to hit this shop before you head down to your specific gate area.

Mano’s Enterprises runs standard duty free stock for a Caribbean island airport: liquor, tobacco, perfume, and some gift items at tax-free pricing. Expect the usual rum bottles you see around St. Lucia plus international spirits sized for carry-on rules. Prices are typically lower than in town tourist shops for branded liquor, but don’t expect deep outlet-level discounts on cosmetics or fragrance.

The store opens to match outbound banks of flights, so for those early morning departures before 09:00 and the late afternoon wave after 15:00, the lights are usually on. If you’re on an off-peak departure, especially a late-evening charter or delayed flight, don’t assume it stays open right up to boarding; shop as soon as you clear security rather than waiting at the gate.

Selection skews to quick grabs: standard 750 ml bottles, carton cigarettes, and boxed fragrance sets sized well for carry-on luggage. You won’t find niche brands or fancy single malts here, but it works for a last-minute Mount Gay or a generic cognac. For gifts, think logo mugs, keychains, and basic island souvenirs rather than artisan craft.

Practical tip: at UVF’s Main Terminal, clear security at least 90 minutes before departure if you plan to browse Mano’s Enterprises, so you have time to shop and still walk to the farther gates without rushing boarding.
