Open 24/7 with Priority Pass at TIJ
This VIP Lounge Tijuana in the Main Terminal runs 00:00–23:59 and shows on Priority Pass as the only fully 24-hour option at TIJ, so it covers those ugly 02:00 departures and midnight arrivals when landside cafés are closed.
Access is straightforward: Priority Pass gets you in, and walk-up is essentially via whatever day-pass arrangement your Priority Pass provider allows, all inside the Main Terminal after you clear security for regular TIJ departures (not the CBX terminal). Check your card’s guest rules before you show up with a group, since some banks only cover the primary member.
Food and drink feedback is lukewarm: a Tripadvisor poster flatly called it “not great at all” and said they preferred the nearby bar for drinks, so expect basic snacks and standard well drinks rather than restaurant-level plates or craft cocktails. If you care more about beer quality than a quiet seat, that adjacent craft-beer-and-wine bar mentioned in reviews may beat the lounge.
Seating is standard lounge sofas and armchairs near the Main Terminal gates, enough for a short layover but not the place most people plan a long work session. Wi‑Fi usually beats the free terminal network but don’t expect lightning-fast speeds for big uploads right before a 07:00 departure.
What regulars apparently do, according to the Tripadvisor thread from 2022, is swipe into VIP Lounge Tijuana with Priority Pass for a seat and then head to the adjacent bar for better drinks if they have a long wait before a mid-day or evening flight, effectively using the lounge as overflow seating more than a destination.
Watch out for: expectations. One reviewer said they would skip it entirely next time and stick with the bar, so if you only have 20–30 minutes before boarding at TIJ’s Main Terminal, it may not be worth walking over, checking in, and then backtracking to your gate.
Simple tip: on late-night or early-morning flights out of the Main Terminal, use this 24/7 Priority Pass lounge as a backup plan for a seat and Wi‑Fi, but if you’re flying in peak daytime hours, walk past first and check how full it looks before committing your time.
