AM Plus or Premier passengers get Aeroméxico Salon Premier access at TIJ.

This is Aeroméxico’s airline lounge in the Main Terminal at General Abelardo L. Rodríguez International Airport (TIJ). Access usually comes with Aeroméxico Clase Premier, some AM Plus fares, high-tier SkyTeam elites, or paid Salon Premier membership; day passes depend on current Aeroméxico rules, so check the app or desk before you bank on getting in.

The lounge sits airside in the Main Terminal, after security, serving domestic and some international departures. You’re already in the right building if you’re flying Aeroméxico out of TIJ; just factor in about 10 minutes to walk back to most gates once you leave the lounge so you don’t cut boarding too close.

Hours track Aeroméxico’s schedule, typically opening ahead of the first morning departures and running until near the last nighttime bank; expect something in the ballpark of 05:00 to 22:00, but it can shift with seasonal flights. If you have a very early or very late departure, confirm the exact closing time at check-in so you’re not left outside staring at a dark door.

Food and drink are standard Mexican airline-lounge fare: light snacks, packaged items, and basic hot options rather than a full meal service. Alcohol usually includes domestic beer and a few spirits; think short pours of tequila and rum instead of a deep bar. If you want a real sit-down meal, plan to eat in the Main Terminal restaurants and use Salon Premier mainly for a 30–60 minute sit, Wi‑Fi, and drinks.

Seating skews toward armchairs and small tables with shared power outlets. Wi‑Fi is included and typically faster than the public terminal network, good enough for video calls under 5 Mbps. TIJ can feel hectic near peak US-bound departures, so getting a seat with an outlet and keeping it is the main win here; charge your phone and laptop to 100% before you head to the gate.

TIJ also connects directly to the US via the CBX cross‑border bridge in San Diego, but CBX users clear security on the CBX side and then feed into the same Main Terminal departures area. If you’re arriving via CBX, count on 20–30 minutes from US-side check-in through the bridge and security before you’re realistically at the lounge door.

Practical tip: if your Aeroméxico connection at TIJ is under 60 minutes, skip the lounge and head straight to your next gate; the time burn from walking over, checking in, grabbing one drink, and walking back usually isn’t worth the stress.
