Priority Pass lists The Lounge Mexico inside TIJ’s Main Terminal.

This is a pay-in lounge in the Main Terminal at General Abelardo L. Rodriguez International Airport (TIJ), used by Priority Pass and similar programs. It sits airside after security, serving international departures, so you need a same-day boarding pass to get in. If you’re coming over the CBX bridge, you still end up in the same terminal complex and can follow signs to the main departures area before heading toward the lounge.

Hours on Priority Pass often show early-morning to late-evening coverage, roughly spanning the first bank of departures through the last, so figure something like 05:00–23:00, but always double-check your app on the day. Entry usually runs via membership (Priority Pass, LoungeKey, etc.) or a walk-up fee that tends to sit in the US$35–45 range per person in Mexican airports. Kids often pay reduced rates or enter free under a parent’s membership, but the specific policy can change by program and by day.

Expect the usual Mexico lounge basics: self-serve snacks, a small hot item or two at meal times, and an open bar with local beer and standard spirits. In TIJ, that usually means canned Mexican lagers, house wine, and simple mixed drinks rather than premium labels. Coffee and soft drinks are typically self-pour from machines or fridges, and food is more “quick bite before boarding” than full restaurant. Figure on practical things like sandwiches, pastries, and maybe soup or rice, not full à la carte dining.

Seating in TIJ contract lounges tends to be tightly packed, with armchairs and small tables grouped around power outlets. Wi‑Fi is free and normally fast enough for email and basic streaming, though evening banks around 18:00–21:00 can get jammed when several US and domestic departures line up. Restrooms are usually inside or immediately adjacent to the lounge; that matters at TIJ, where the public facilities near some gates get lines during peak cross-border flights.

Because there are limited alternatives airside in the Main Terminal, this lounge mainly competes with gate seating and the standard cafes and fast-food outlets. If the walk-up fee on the day is near US$40 and you only have 45 minutes before boarding, it’s a questionable value; if you’ve got a two-hour wait and a membership that covers entry, the Wi‑Fi, snacks, and quieter seats justify the walk. Tip: check your gate before you head in, then set a timer for boarding, since TIJ gate areas can be a 5–10 minute walk from some lounge corridors.
