Terminal 1 Car Park

Surface

Most SSH parking talk skips the basics: Terminal 1 has its own surface car park

The Terminal 1 Car Park at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport sits directly in front of Terminal T1, so you walk from your car to the terminal entrance in just a few minutes. It’s an open-air, surface lot, not a multi-storey garage, so you park in regular bays and keep your keys. That makes quick drop-offs and same-day returns simple, especially for short flights to Cairo or domestic beach hops.

This is official airport parking for Terminal 1, so you’re on airport grounds the whole time rather than off-site. You drive straight into the airport access road, follow signs for “T1 Parking”, and pull into the surface area opposite the terminal. No shuttle buses, no extra transfers, and you stay within the main security perimeter from the moment you pass the access checkpoint.

Pricing at SSH often shows up in bundled flight-and-parking offers from operators like FHR, usually covering stays from 1 to 14 days. Expect day rates that make sense for short resort trips rather than long-term monthly storage. You pay in local currency on-site or via the provider you booked through, so check whether your voucher covers the exact number of calendar days you’ll be parked to avoid extra charges at the exit barrier.

Security at the Terminal 1 Car Park ties into the airport’s layered checks at SSH. Access roads are monitored, and cars pass through controlled entry points before reaching the lot. That means a few extra minutes at the outer gate, particularly at busy times before European departures, but it also keeps random through-traffic out of the parking area itself.

There’s no formal height restriction listed because this is a surface car park, but larger vehicles still need to fit standard marked bays. Spaces can tighten up around peak morning departures from T1, so plan to arrive at least 20–30 minutes earlier than you normally would just to give yourself time to find a spot and walk in.

Tip: If you’re meeting arriving passengers into Terminal 1, park here and bring some small cash in Egyptian pounds for short-stay parking, then wait just outside the arrivals hall doors for calls or messages once they clear the final security check.
