Wine Bar

T2

Gate-side glasses of Bulgarian wine in T2

Right in Terminal T2’s departures area, Wine Bar focuses on Bulgarian bottles by the glass, poured fast enough to fit into a short boarding window. You’re airside, so it works for anyone already through security and waiting to board a Schengen or non-Schengen flight from T2.

Expect airport pricing: a glass of local red or white usually lands in the €5–€7 range, with simple bar snacks added on for a few extra euros. It’s counter-service, so you pay at the bar and keep an eye on your gate screens while you sit.

The draw here is trying Bulgarian varieties like Mavrud or Melnik without committing to a full bottle, which matters if you’re connecting or landing late at SOF T2. If you’re not into wine, they still pour basic beers and soft drinks, but the list on the wall leans clearly toward regional labels.

Most flights from T2 board roughly 30–40 minutes before departure, so time your last glass accordingly and stay within five minutes’ walk of your gate. Seating is mostly stools and small tables, fine for a 20–30 minute pause but not built for long laptop sessions.

Food here is light: think packaged nuts, chips, and occasional cheese plates sized for one person, not a full dinner before a 3-hour flight. If you’re really hungry, plan on a sandwich elsewhere in T2 first, then use Wine Bar for a single glass and a small bite.

Tip: prices are usually posted in both BGN and euros; pay in Bulgarian lev with card at the T2 bar to avoid shakier exchange rates on cash euros.
