T1’s Fast Food Corner is one of the few hot-food options
Fast Food Corner sits landside in Terminal T1, handy if you arrive early and check-in desks aren’t open yet. It’s a basic counter-service spot with burgers, sandwiches, and snacks aimed at getting you in and out quickly before security.
Prices run lower than most T2 cafés at SOF, with simple burgers and sandwiches typically in the budget range compared to in-flight buy-on-board menus. Figure on paying airport markup, but not the shock you’ll see at some Western European hubs.
Hours vary with the T1 flight schedule and charter traffic, so late-night or very early-morning departures may find the shutters down. If you have a 05:30 departure from T1, don’t count on a hot meal here and bring something from the city instead.
Food is straightforward: think reheated fast-food style items rather than fresh-grill restaurant quality. It’s fine for a quick burger or fries before a Wizz Air or charter flight, but not worth arriving an extra hour early just to eat here.
Seating is limited in the T1 landside hall, so during peak charter waves you may end up standing with your tray. If you want a proper sit-down, you’re usually better off eating in Sofia first, then using Fast Food Corner for a drink or a quick bite only if you’re hungry again.
Payment is typically card and cash in BGN, and it’s a decent spot to use up small Bulgarian lev coins before you leave. If you’re connecting between T1 and T2 by the airport shuttle, skip eating here and wait until you reach T2, where options improve slightly.
Tip: If you land at T1 and need a snack before a taxi into town, grab something here first; once outside, choices are limited to vending machines and whatever your driver passes on the way in.
