The VIP Lounge sits on level 0 of Terminal 2, after security and passport control, and runs daily from 04:00 to 22:00. It’s part of the main contract-lounge cluster used by several airlines, so expect a standard Schengen-area feel rather than anything ultra-luxury or private-jet style.

Access is via pre-booking for around €30 for a three-hour day pass, with walk-up sales sometimes available at the door. Regulars follow the blue signs down one level in T2 once they clear passport control, then check in at the small desk before the main seating area.

Food and drink skew basic: think packaged snacks, light sandwiches, and self-serve soft drinks with a few spirits and beer options, all included in that roughly €30 fee. One early-morning flyer at 05:00 said it was quiet and they were simply “thankful” to have somewhere to sit with coffee and Wi‑Fi before an outbound flight.

Behind the entrance you’ll find lockers and toilets but no showers, so don’t plan on a full refresh after a red‑eye. Power outlets are scattered but not at every seat, and the Wi‑Fi is shared with the rest of the T2 lounge complex, which means speeds dip once the morning bank of departures fills the room.

One large smoking room with its own small food and drink area sits off to the side, and reviews repeatedly mention how noticeable smoking is. Even though the main zone is technically non‑smoking, expect smells bleeding through and a bit of traffic around the smoking-room door during peak times.

Several reviewers point out it’s not worth arriving extra early purely for this lounge: seating can get tight, and the spread doesn’t rise above generic contract-lounge fare. Most regulars only duck in once boarding time is about 60 minutes away for a drink, email catch-up, and a slightly calmer seat than the main T2 concourse.

Practical tip: Clear security and passport control first, then head straight down to level 0; if it’s rammed or the smoke is too much, you still have time to retreat to the main T2 gates without stressing your departure.
