Gate area bar near Terminal B security at SJJ
Refreshment Bar sits airside in Terminal B at Sarajevo (SJJ), just past security and close to the main gate seating area. It’s one of the few spots open once you’re through checks, so factor it into any plan for a coffee or beer before boarding.
Hours track typical flight banks, roughly from first departures around 05:00 until the last evening flights, but closing can drift earlier on quiet days. If you’re on a late Ryanair or Wizz Air run and want a drink here, don’t leave it to the final 20 minutes before boarding.
Pricing runs higher than downtown Sarajevo: expect around 4–5 EUR for a beer and 2–3 EUR for a basic coffee or soft drink. Food is more snack-level than meal-level, with packaged sandwiches and pastries that work for a quick bite but won’t replace a proper cevapi stop in the city.
Seating is mostly bar stools and a few small tables near the windows in Terminal B, so you’re basically drinking and eating in the gate area, not in a separate lounge-style space. Power outlets are limited here, so charge devices in the main hall before you sit down.
Service pace depends heavily on the single bartender on duty; during the 10:00–13:00 departure wave, expect a couple of minutes’ wait for coffee and longer if a full flight has just been called. Card payment is accepted, and prices usually show in both BAM and EUR.
Watch out for limited food choice after mid-afternoon; by around 16:00, pastry options can be down to whatever is left in the case. If you care about having more than chips and a drink, stop here right after clearing security rather than waiting until boarding starts.
Tip: eat properly in Sarajevo city and use Refreshment Bar in Terminal B for a last espresso or beer, then head to your gate with at least 10–15 minutes to spare.
